While they are a new squad with no games played this season, having 26 registered players on their main team in Checking 2 means there is potential for some experienced players to ice for this team, earning them the third spot in the rankings.

Now arriving at platform 1, its the Metro's D! After years of ceasing to exist, the squad bring a pretty new team to nationals and have had a varied mix of results in recent challenge games landing them nicely in the middle of the rankings. It will be interesting to see what place these guys can Choo Choo their way to after their C's finished second place in this tier last year.

Having every player in the club registered to the A team on the BUIHA site is a new strat to hide whose playing where (and a way to make this job harder, thanks a lot guys!). With 3 games played this season, Avs B have only been able to secure one victory with a very mixed squad. Will be interesting to see what these guys bring to nationals and we are hoping their bench coach remembers their sparkly blazer too!

Regardless, another new team to the tier with another mixed bag of results this season. With a lot of support from guys in their main squad, Hogs B have got a lot of Togis to Tigi when making their debut in Tier 3.

This year we will also see the return of the Spitfires D squad who have made their first return since the 2017-18 season. With one game played which resulted in a tight 10-9 loss to Lions D in February, causing them to be placed in a slightly lower ranking. However, I hope they can take off (that was an awful attempt at a plane pun, I do apologise) this nationals and win at least some games against some newer Northern opponents

Birmingham D return to Nationals with their learn to skate Lion cubs. Having taken part in some high scoring games this season, the cubs have once again found fresh talent for the club. However, losing their best skaters to the C team means they will not be coming to the tournament with the momentum they have built throughout the season. Coming 10th in the rankings, the lions finish 1st in the BUIHA’s heart, guaranteeing to bring their usual off-ice entertainment to the weekend.
