London Dragons

1 - London Dragons Non Mover

W: 9D: 0L: 1GF: 71GA: 18GD: +53PP%: 68.4PK%: 75.9
Pts: Lambert (26) G: Lambert (16) A: Lambert (10) SAV%: Cattell (0.94)
London Dragons
Having squeezed past Edinburgh during the Div 1 Playoff final last weekend on penalty shots this could be the last year of dominance for the Dragons. With Dr Dmitry's tenure finally up this season who knows what is happening next season, but with the return of Martin Lambert this weekend (He's the division's top scorer if you don't know who he is..................) added to that of the crazy Viking Kalle Uusitalo it could be just what to good doctor ordered.
Edinburgh Eagles

2 - Edinburgh Eagles Up 4

W: 6D: 0L: 2GF: 46GA: 28GD: +18PP%: 34.8PK%: 70.8
Pts: Moroz (18) G: Selles (13) A: Moroz (11) SAV%: Ricketti (0.92)
Edinburgh Eagles
Yes Rambo, this is Edinburgh's highest ever ranking, but it's not for your banter (Sorry). This ranking reflects an excellent season for the "Ph"Eagles, a team that plays with pride and passion. That much showed during the heart breaking Div 1 playoff loss, knowing this team I'd expect them to want to play London in the final fly down some vengeance from above.
Newcastle Wildcats

3 - Newcastle Wildcats Down 1

W: 5D: 0L: 3GF: 40GA: 38GD: +2PP%: 27.0PK%: 83.9
Pts: Bannov (16) G: Bannov (12) A: Ryder (8) SAV%: Clapham (0.89)
Newcastle Wildcats
The Wildcats ran Edinburgh a close second in the cup competition even giving them a mauling at joys of the Whitley Bay TurboDome. The shorter format of this tournament may favour the 'Cats, who's run and gun attitude has seen them concede almost as many as score. But lest we forget this team has lots of Nationals experience with James Hadfield and Ben Craighead on the roster, what is this guys, 7th and 8th time at Nationals? Almost expecting for the Millgod to be suiting up for number 15, but alas he played for the Flames last weekend, unlucky. Outside bet for the gold.
Southampton Spitfires

4 - Southampton Spitfires Up 3

W: 5D: 0L: 5GF: 36GA: 33GD: +3PP%: 27.3PK%: 75.0
Pts: Facey (16) G: Facey (6) A: Facey (10) SAV%: Cole (0.91)
Southampton Spitfires
Another team with their highest ever ranking! But that's nothing to do with Oxford not entering is it............ 50% record for this guys, no I'm not talking about win % I'm talking about actually playing games...... Maybe they have been saving themselves for this magical flight to be National Champions. In the "easier" side of the draw with the top two Northern teams.... May make it out of the group.........
Nottingham Mavericks

5 - Nottingham Mavericks Down 1

W: 4D: 0L: 4GF: 46GA: 36GD: +10PP%: 18.8PK%: 72.0
Pts: Moran (17) G: Moran (7) A: Moran (10) SAV%: Silvester (0.95)
Nottingham Mavericks
Talk about new rankings. Have I ever ranked the Mavericks outside the top 3?! Or even the top 2?! Will be looking to go one better than their other teams in the previous weekends but good Luck Mavs, you're not getting out of the group this year with the team that led you to a lovely 3rd place in the Cup. It looks like the "Big Green Machine" has a few parts missing and is grinding to a halt, hey at least you still have the UK's biggest Varsity match to fall back on..................
Cambridge Blues

6 - Cambridge Blues Down 1

W: 4D: 0L: 6GF: 41GA: 42GD: -1PP%: 17.6PK%: 74.1
Pts: McGinley (11) G: Richardson (9) A: McGinley (7) SAV%: Park (1.00)
Cambridge Blues
The oldest team in the competition the Light blues will be looking to push on from the cup and challenge for the gold. But to be honest I know nothing about this team, I knew much more about your women. Bland is the word I'm looking for....... I hope you have the banter this weekend; you ladies certainly did a fortnight ago.......................
Sheffield Bears

7 - Sheffield Bears Down 4

W: 3D: 0L: 5GF: 30GA: 38GD: -8PP%: 24.0PK%: 78.3
Pts: Jeffcock (13) G: Jeffcock (9) A: Bell (5) SAV%: Roxburgh (0.89)
Sheffield Bears
5th top scorer after playing only 4 games? Matthew Jeffcock you have amazed me. Hats off to you! After that Bears loving I should revert to form........ You would think IceSheffield would be home ice advantage but these Bears have probably played here as much as every other team this year, just don't get lost on your way to the changing room this weekend and you will be ok, 6 does not look like a H. Semis?? Maybe???
Coventry and Warwick Panthers

8 - Coventry and Warwick Panthers Up 1

W: 3D: 1L: 6GF: 27GA: 52GD: -25PP%: 20.0PK%: 72.2
Pts: Romaskevicius (9) G: Barcelo (6) A: Egle (8) SAV%: Burton (0.85)
Coventry and Warwick Panthers
Can we change the rules so Sambruck can please play in Division 1 as well? I'd just like to see the Panthers score some goals and Tristan to get hit and see what it's like when you can't skate rings round people when playing in a beginners division................... That said, glad the Panthers are here, and have solved their goalie crisis, at least in the short term. Couldn't you have played Sandy in goal though? Lucky to make it to Sheffield, let alone outside the group, ranked 8th.
Manchester Metrostars

9 - Manchester Metrostars New Entry

W: 2D: 0L: 6GF: 19GA: 41GD: -22PP%: 9.1PK%: 75.0
Pts: Steedman (3) G: Steedman (3) A: Forkin (2) SAV%: Walker (0.93)
Manchester Metrostars
New teams always have the opportunity to throw a surprise at Nationals and the Metrostars A could be a team to do that; you have to remember 2 of their points came against the Div 1 North Champions. Will find it difficult to keep a low profile at the competition with Calum Ruddick playing, you can hear his mouth a mile away before you hear that boom as your face slides down the glass. Oh and Phil, stop trying to put stuff on our tab, you look nothing like me, I'm much slimmer.................
Cardiff Redhawks

10 - Cardiff Redhawks Non Mover

W: 2D: 0L: 8GF: 37GA: 93GD: -56PP%: 38.9PK%: 42.4
Pts: Hayman (16) G: Hayman (8) A: Leslie (11) SAV%: Evans (0.79)
Cardiff Redhawks
Cardiff won two games this year, an Improvement on the last. Oh... Wait... They were both forfeits? Never mind. Disappointing recruitment this year has majorly weakened this 2010/11 Redhawks team, they have even had to recall Dave 'The Pie Man' Rogers, desperate times..... I really hope Cardiff push on and try and keep a Div 1 team next year, and move the Toast up to Div 2, but as for these nationals, can't see much other than a chance for a typically rowdy Saturday night, enjoy the early drinks lads.
