Bradford Sabres Info

The Bradford Sabres are the university ice hockey team representing students from the University of Bradford, the University of Huddersfield and Bradford College. We provide a diverse and welcoming community open to any student or staff member regardless of skill level, gender or country of origin.

We run two training sessions a week during term-time on Sundays and Mondays at Bradford Ice Arena. Our qualified coach provides valuable coaching and advice along with help from the more experienced players. Beginners work extremely hard to catch up and often become valuable contributors.

In the 2013-14 season our hard work paid off and  won the BUIHA national championship tier 4. As of the 2011-12 seson we also submitted a non-checking team so begginers can have more ice time and better opportunities to develop their skills. In the 2014-15 season our Non-checking team went on to finish top of the teir 2 non-checking division.

If you are thinking of attending one of our feeder universities or know you will be a student in the near future please contact us on our Facebook page, and we will gladly welcome you as a member of our team. If you aren't interested in playing, please join the hundreds of fantastic supporters who come to our games just a 15 minute walk from the University of Bradford campus.
